Use Your Fat with Ketosis !

So, this is for everyone and anyone that has quite a bit of fat to loose or as i say use.

Few things to know first, Your body's main source of energy is glycogen. Glycogen is Glucose in the blood. It is made from carbohydrates. It is your body's energy source.

What your body can store ?

Your body cannot store protein. Thats why it has to be taken regularly with all your meals.Anything excess will only go down your flush and out. There is no saving it.

Your body can store energy in terms of fat. Yes FAT is an energy store. It is store in White adipose tissue in humans. Body keeps this incase you ever face a famine or lack of food, your body can protect itself and feed of these emergency energy deposits.

Any energy that comes from carbohydrates or fat can be used by the body. But the excess is stored in fat cells.

Yes, Carbohydrates are great for energy but they can also make you fat. If taken in excess of what the body needs.

How do i use my fat ?

Here is the trick, your body cant use protein for energy, it is required for other body functions like growth and repair.

You can lower your carbs, but then you lack energy. Cravings kick in and you can last much longer on such diets.

Can FAT cut FAT ?

Here is the deal, you provide your body with healthy fats and proteins only. That way the only source of energy is fat. Your body becomes more efficient in using fat as the energy stores.

First couple days on such a diet makes your body realise that there is no more glucose available to use so your liver releases something called ketones.

When your body only receives a fat as energy, and you limit it, and combine this program with a workout, guess where the  excess energy comes from - YOUR FAT DEPOSITS.

You literally empty your fat cells.

But the sources should be natural. Like olive oil, nuts, yolk of the eggs, natural peanut butter ( without sugar ).

What NOT TO HAVE ?

Dont give your body intermittent source of glucose by consuming carbohydrates.


My EXPERIENCE ?

They work. You do have cravings, first week it might be difficult to concentrate but hey your body is adapting give it time.

Drink at least a gallon a day, thats 4 litters or 5 bottles of 800 ml, make sure your urine colour stays clear or pale, anything darker means you are dehydrated.

You soon start to feel great, some people are unware that they are gluten sensitive ( i am ). Gluten is a protein in grains that people don't know they don't go well with. It makes me lethargic and in the absence of them, i am much more energetic but i have got it tested so before assuming get yourself tested. Or test yourself by avoiding all grains from your diet for a week and see how you feel.

How long should this last ?

As great as it sounds, the human body is a great machine. It adapts too quickly and you need to keep your body in state of shock. It should not get adapted to anything.

Use it till it works for you, keep a log of your weight. Weigh in Once per week, after waking up, same day of the week same time every time. Don't be stupid and check yourself several times a day, your body weight changes 2-4 kg per day at different times.

If you hit a plateau, ie, your weight dosent change or drop for two weeks, throw in a day of cheating, enjoy all that you want and see the magic happen. It restarts your engine but dont go crazy, hog on carbs not sugar !
